      President and CEO, lawyer, entrepreneur. He has represented the interests of first-class organizations both inside and outside Spain (PHILIPS, MARCONI, aeronautical industry CASA, national military shipyards BAZAN, etc.). He was the founder and President of the most important security group in Spain in the 80´s. He introduced in Spain the automotive brands MAZDA, KIA, CHEVROLET and CADILLAC (General Motors Group), of whose national distribution companies he has been President and main shareholder. His group became the largest car importer in Spain in the 90’s. He was been “Executive of the Year” (Chamber of Commerce, 1988).Two the companies he founded entered the list of the 150 largest companies in Spain. His entrepreneurial efforts have created 3,500 jobs. He is a Member of the Circle of Trust of the NEW ECONOMY FORUM.

      Prof. Miguel García Guerrero

      Board Member of AlgaEnergy and main Scientific Advisor. Ph.D. in Biology, University Professor, Member of the Royal Academy of Sciences (Seville). One of the few researchers in microalgae, he holds several patents on biological processes using microalgae. He has been Vice President of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, 12,000 employees) and Director of the Research Center “Isla de La Cartuja“. Speaker in more than 100 international congresses and conferences. Leading researcher of over 20 projects funded. He has written nearly 30 book chapters and more than 100 articles about microalgae in leading scientific journals.  Decorated twice by the Spanish Government.

      Javier Laorden Ferrero

      Board Member of AlgaEnergy. Degree in Law and Business Administration. Partner of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves & Pereira since 1988. Specialized in tax and commercial law. He has been Member of the GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE JUDICIARY (CGJP) from 2001 to 2008. Member of the Executive Board of the European Network of Councils for the General Judiciary. Professor at the School of Legal Practice of ICADE and regular speaker at specialized entities. He is member of the Spanish Association of Financial Law and founder of the Spanish-Moroccan Forum of Jurists. Part of the National Advisory Board of the Education and Law journal. He holds the Grand Cross of the Order of San Raimundo de Peñafort and was granted the Justice-Disability Forum Award for his personal career in defense of the rights of disabled persons. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Foundation ANESVAD.

      Mario Fernández-Peña

      Board Member of AlgaEnergy. Economist. He has spent most of his career in the banking sector: Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. of New York, EXTERIOR BANK OF SPAIN and Union Bank / Banco Urquijo, where he was General Manager and Head International Development and Capital Markets. In 1998 he joined OMEGA CAPITAL as Development and Real Estate Department Manager. Currently he is President of Omega Investment Management, President of Hospes Hotels and President of NEPA, Srl. He is collaborator in the Medical-Scientific programs of the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation.

      Agustín Rodríguez Sánchez

      Board Member of AlgaEnergy. Economist, MBA. Founder and Director of Internal Audit and Quality Control of AMADEUS GROUP (Spanish world leader in its sector, which operates in 217 markets through 90 subsidiaries and has about 8,500 employees). Turnover per year of €3,000 million with an EBITDA of over €1,000 million. Currently he is developing AMADEUS expansion in the UAE.

      Carlos Rodríguez-Villa Förster

      General Manager. Economist (University Autonoma of Madrid). He has experience in business development, international sales, public relations, e-commerce and media management. Project Manager for AFA PRESS in collaboration with USA Today, the biggest newspaper in the world. He has developed national socio-economic studies in the following 4 emerging economies: Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Suriname. Experience in international expansion gained during his employment at Zalando (largest on-line store in Europe), having been appointed as Country Manager of ZALANDO Spain and therefore responsible for the expansion of the company and brand in Spain, based in Germany. In 2013, leading a team of 42 people, ZALANDO Spain reached under his management an annual turnover of over 60 MM € and a considerable cost reduction (> 20%) over the previous year. After this successful experience, in December 2013 he joined AlgaEnergy as Head of Business Development, and was appointed General Manager a year later.
