The TV program ‘Estación La Sexta’, broadcasted in La Sexta from Monday to Friday, visited the PTEM and dedicated a prominent space to AlgaEnergy.
AlgaEnergy keeps reawakening the interest of the media. On this occasion, it was the TV program ‘Estación La Sexta’, specialized in the meteorological and environmental information, which dedicated to the company a prominent space. ‘Estación La Sexta’ visited the Technological Platform for Experimentation with Microalgae (PTEM) and broadcasted an interesting report about microalgae and their immense application potential in different industries. The program was broadcasted on April 19th in prime time.
The program, hosted by Lluis Obiols, Adrián Cordero and Alberto Herrera, has been consolidated in a few months as a program of reference dedicated to the environmental information and meteorology. Alberto Herrera introduced the report, entitled “The fuel of the future: the microalgae” and made by the journalist Alberto Pérez Castellanos. Herrera presented the report pointing out that “microalgae have applications in aeronautics, but also in agriculture -as an effective biostimulant- and even in cosmetics“.
In the interesting report, Carlos Rodríguez-Villa and María Segura, General Manager and Technical Director of AlgaEnergy, respectively, highlight the properties of microalgae and their potential for application in different industries with a particular focus on the energetic sector, in which the company has accredited substantial developments towards the obtaining of cleaner and more sustainable biofuels. AlgaEnergy’s technology developed for microalgae cultivation and the environmental factor -microalgae are responsible for more than 50% of the oxygen we breathe on Earth and they are the most efficient CO2 biofixation systems- had an outstanding presence in the report.
