AlgaEnergy has joined the European Biobased Industries Consortium (BIC), which, partnering with the European Commission and with an estimated budget of 2,000 million Euros, has the responsibility of creating business tools towards a sustainable, innovative and competitive Europe, leading the transition to a society post-oil, while decoupling economic growth from resources depletion and environmental impact.

The BIC is formed by approximately 60 leading European institutions. AlgaEnergy is the only member of this selective European Consortium whose exclusive activity is the biotechnology of microalgae.
