ARCOS DE LA FRONTERA
This Plant, which is co-financed by the European Commission (LIFE+ Programme), is intended to the biofixation of CO2 from industrially emitted combustion gases by using microalgal cultures, transforming this harmful gas into products of commercial interest.
Endowed with an initial budget in excess of 3 million Euros, the Plant covers an area of 10,000 m2 and is being built on land situated at the IBERDROLA Combined Cycle Power Plant at Arcos de la Frontera (Cadiz).
By constructing this totally automated Plant, ALGAENERGY is consolidating its position as international market leader within the field of microalgae biotechnology, thus contributing to the development of practical applications and the discovery of new products by cultivating photosynthetic microorganisms.
