Sept/2012		The OESA Foundation interviews Dr. Emilia Abellán, researcher of the SPANISH INSTITUTE OF OCEANOGRAPHY (IEO), who highlights the important work of the Institute and the collaboration with ALGAENERGY on the development of efficient and sustainable aquaculture with microalgae as a basis for the diet of fish and other marine species.

Through the CENIT LIFE Programme, promoted by AlgaEnergy and led by Iberdrola, in which AlgaEnergy leads the tasks related to the selection and cultivation of microalgae, 14 companies and 24 research centres jointly investigate the cultivation of microalgae to produce clean energy and to reduce pollutant emissions of cities.

AlgaEnergy is part of the group of six selected European researchers coming from Spain, France, Holland, Portugal and Austria.
